Victim Support Service - Central Social Assistance Service

The Victim Support Service (Service d'Aide aux Victimes - SAV) is within the public prosecutor's office. It operates under the judicial mandate of, and is answerable to, the State Public Prosecutor.

The Service's psychologists, criminologists and probation officers, who have been trained in social assistance, help people who have suffered a physical and/or mental attack following a crime (violent robbery, domestic violence, assault and battery, sexual assault, etc.) and offer psychological and psycho-therapeutic care.

They may also provide assistance to victims throughout the trial process.

Consultations with the Service are free and by appointment only.
