The National Social Action Service, under the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region, was created in 1986 in the framework of the law establishing the social minimum wage (revenu minimum garanti - RMG).

Its objectives are:

  • to ensure the implementation of provisions concerning the insertion allowance laid down for the social minimum wage;
  • to coordinate the measures of the relevant bodies and institutions;
  • to consider and propose measures to improve the fight against social exclusion;
  • to collect the necessary statistical data.
