Booking an appointment online with the Customs and Excise Agency

It is now possible to make an appointment online with one of the customs offices of the Customs and Excise Agency (Administration des douanes et accises - ADA) using MyGuichet.lu.

Who is concerned?

Any person wishing to make an appointment in one the offices of the Customs and Excise Agency (Luxembourg-Howald and Diekirch).

Costs

Booking an appointment online is free of charge.

It should be noted that the applications submitted to the Customs and Excise Agency (ADA) are subject to a fee.

How to proceed

Filing an application

The applicant can make an appointment online using MyGuichet.lu. This can be done without using LuxTrust authentication.

Applicants must first accept the processing of their personal data for the purpose of booking an appointment by checking the relevant box.

The applicant must indicate if they are:

  • a natural person; or
  • a taxable person subject to VAT.

Then, the applicant indicates in the case of an application for:

  • a natural person:
    • their contact details:
      • first and last names;
      • if available, their 13-digit Luxembourg identification number (matricule), otherwise, their date of birth;
      • email address and telephone number;
  • a taxable person subject to VAT:
    • name of the company;
    • VAT number;
    • email address and telephone number.

The applicant selects:

  • the reason for the application, i.e.:
    • a request for a vignette 705; or
    • a request for a licence to serve/sell alcohol ('Schanklizenz'); or
    • other: applicants who choose 'Autre' must give the reason for requesting an appointment;
  • the customs office to which they wish to go for the appointment :
    • Centre (Howald);
    • North (Diekirch);
  • the date and time of their appointment among the proposed time slots.

Please note: Depending on the time slots available, it is possible to select an appointment for the same day.

The applicant must validate their choice by clicking on 'Next step'.

Supporting documents

In addition and depending on the request, the applicant must bring supporting documents to the appointment. The required supporting documents can easily be found by consulting:

The administration's response

After having validated the appointment, applicants will receive an appointment confirmation by email.  

This document indicates:

  • the date and time of the appointment;
  • the contact details of the applicant;
  • the appointment reference number.

Obligations

The applicant certifies:

  • that the data provided is correct and truthful;
  • that they do not have other appointments scheduled for the same type of request.

The applicant and accompanying persons must wear a mask as soon as they enter the premises of the Customs and Excise Agency.

Cancellation of an appointment

Appointment cancellations can be made online using MyGuichet.lu.

To cancel an appointment online, the applicant must indicate:

  • the appointment reference number;
  • their contact details: the same as those indicated when making the appointment (surname, first name, address, etc.).
