The Chamber of Trades (Chambre des métiers, CDM) is a professional chamber which represents more than 150 trades in the fields of food, fashion-health-hygiene, mechanics, construction and housing, communications, multimedia, performing arts and artistic professions.

Its members include:

• all natural or legal persons established as skilled craft professionals;
• branch offices established in the crafts sector, on the initiative of a natural or legal person governed by the law of another state;
• commercial or industrial businesses which operate, as a secondary activity, and in direct relation with the main business, a crafts workshop;
• all former skilled craftsmen who apply for registration.

It also provides its members with training and qualifications (apprenticeships, advanced training certificates, training for adults), advice and support for the creation and transfer of businesses, as well as assistance and advice in legal, economic, technological and European matters.
