Chamber of Employees

All employees or pensioners, excluding civil servants or public-sector employees, must be affiliated to the Chamber of Employees (Chambre des salariés, CSL), regardless of their nationality or the location of their residence.  The chamber was formed as a result of the merger between the Chamber of Private-Sector Employees (Chambre des employés privés, CEPL) and the Chamber of Labour (Chambre de travail, AKL).

In addition to its traditional role as a professional chamber, the CSL informs employees and pensioners about economic and social developments (inflation, wage costs, etc.). Through its training body, the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Center (LLLC), it plays an important role in training for adults, lifelong learning and socio-economic training of staff representatives in businesses.
