The responsibilities of the Joint Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale, CCSS) include the registration of insured persons, establishing, collecting and recovering contributions, as well as recording and distributing these contributions amongst different institutions.
Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Security (ministère de la Sécurité sociale), the CCSS manages the computerisation, collection and processing of data on behalf of the different institutions (the Social Security, the National Supplementary Benefits Fund, the National Employment Administration, etc.).
